This is a very clean burning load. Mild recoil, great for target practice. It cycles my "baby" .45 Taurus as well as my Glock 21 and full size 1911's. P.S Glock has aftermarket barrel for the lead although I've never had the slightest indication of leading in any pistol. Caution: This is CLAYS powder, NOT Universal!

the bullets listed gave best results. the gun was a charter arms

I tried W231,solo1000,AA#2,& 700X powders. W231 shot well, solo1000 shot better, aa#2 shot so-so, but 700X shot superbly with almost any cast bullet from 200 to 240 grains although the bullets listed shot the best giving one hole 5 shot groups at 10 yds ! 4.8 grs. is a trifle hot for the 240 gr. bullets.The gun was a charter arms bulldog with a 3" barrel. I Got it for snakes with ratshot but it shoots cast bullets great!
